Strategic Plan

The Ageing and Disability Commission's Strategic Plan (2020-2022 (PDF, 467.6 KB) outlines the key strategic focus areas for the next two years, and the guiding principles that informs our work and practice.

Our guiding principles are to:

  1. be person-centred
  2. be effective
  3. be accessible and inclusive
  4. be accountable and transparent
  5. promote individual and community rights.

The goals in this Strategic Plan demonstrate the Ageing and Disability Commission's dedication to promoting the rights of older people and adults with disability to live free from abuse in their family, home and community.

This Strategic Plan will serve to guide us into the future as we continue to build upon our achievements, and find more ways to improve our work.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.

Informed by lessons of the past, the Ageing and Disability Commission is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
